There are different options for data replication in SLT for example: suspend and resume replication of tables, stop and restart master job of a configuration of SLT etc.
You need to know the basic functions for replication after configuring the SLT server.
For launching data provisioning UI, Choose modeler perspective, go to Quick View -> Data Provisioning
The UI opens only if your user is assigned a data provisioning role.
All further data provisioning steps are execute from HANA studio.
To Load the current data of a table from the source system, press LOAD button.
To replicate a table which includes load of current data and replication of changes in source system press REPLICATE
Thus, replication includes load and delta replication.
Choose a table from the list or enter a search string to search for a specific table. Use the button Add to select the table.
Once all relevant tables are selected, load / replication is triggered when popup is closed via button Finish.
Press button Stop replication to stop the replication and also delta recording for that table (deletes DB trigger!)
Press Suspend button to stop data replication but keep delta recording active
Press Resume button to resume a suspended replication.
Please be aware that in case replication is stopped and started again, corresponding table will be dropped. The initial load must be repeated as delta recording was deactivated for a certain time and changes are not recorded.
So if you want to pause delta replication, use Suspend and Resume as delta recording is active and replication can be continued without a need to perform new initial load.
You can also stop the replication by going in SLT server LTR transaction. But the logging table filling will still be active after stopping the master job in SLT replication server.

Authorization in SAP HANA for SLT
The SAP LT Replication Server requires an initial user, which is used to create a database connection from the SAP LT Replication Server to the SAP HANA system. The database connection is automatically created when you set up a new configuration.
The SAP LT Replication Server creates the replication user by using the initial user for this operation. One replication user is created for each replication schema.
The replication user has the same name as the corresponding schema. The replication user is used to connect from the SAP LT Replication Server to the SAP HANA system for replication. The authentication information for the replication user is generated by the SAP LT Replication Server and stored as a secondary database connection in the SAP LT Replication Server.
This means that only the SAP LT Replication Server can connect as replication user to the SAP HANA system. The replication user has the following authorizations:
The following roles are defined and have authorization on the target schema on the SAP HANA system:
This role should be assigned to users who need to configure and monitor the data provisioning process. The user can select data in replication schema and to insert values in RS_ORDER table within replication schema.
This role provides full control over the contents of the replication schema.
Note: Assign this role only for urgent operations, such as maintenance.
This role provides access to the database stored procedures RS_GRANT_ACCESS and RS_REVOKE_ACCESS. They are used for fine-grained access control on the replication schema content.
This role contains select privilege of the entire replication target schema.
