Open ODS Views – transformation based

Some time it is required to do simple transformations on data before virtually analyzing the data in OpenODSView.

For example, appending a field with 000

with BW4HANA, it is possible to create transformation based openODSView

Step by Step procedure

Step 1: Create source system of type HANA DB for your schema from where you want to access the tables in your openODSView

Step 2: Create a datasource based on your table or view

Step 3: Create an infosource based on the datasource created above

Step 4: Create a transformation by right clicking on the infosource, activate it

Step 5: Create openODSView of type facts, select source type as “Transformation”

Select datasource and infosource created above.

Save and activate your OpenODSView.

Create a query on this OpenODSView and see the data
