Analyse Query Performance

To analyse query performance at the info
cube level, you can use the following tools –

• Query runtime statistics in the query monitor (RSRT)
• Queries of BI statistics infocubes
• Database view – RSDDSTAT_DM
• Administrator Cockpit
• Function module RSDDCVER_RFC_BW_STATISTICS
• ST03 for BI

Statistics data for query runtime

• Records selected: EventID 9011, Total DBSel
• Records transferred: EventID 9010, Total
  DBTrans
• Database Time: EventID 9000, Data Manager
• The front end/calculation layer tab displays
  the statistics at the multiprovider level
• The aggregation layer tab displays the
  statistics for each infoprovider in the MP

Go to BI workload – double click on today

Double click on your info provider

Analyse the query data –

No of Navigation Steps indicate No of runs

DB and frontend time can be compared. High DB time
and low front end time indicate need for an aggregate

Note: Before using BI statistics data in ST03, make
sure that the Business Content process chains
have been executed to update the Business
Content infocubes.
