Once the import preparations are done, you can start with the process.
Before starting the SWPM in the target system, check whether you can access the export directory. You can access it via network using \<server name>directory.
If you are not able to access the directory, check your firewall settings.
Now start SWPM in the target server, and choose SAP BW version and SAP HANA database as the target database. Then select SYSTEM COPY-TARGET SYSTEM-STANDARD SYSTEM-BASED ON AS ABAP STANDARD SYSTEM, and click next.
Select ‘typical’ or ‘custom’ installation method. In the next screen, specify the SID of your SAP BW system. Then, enter the path to the SAP kernel and specify the administrator password.
Do not select the option ‘START MIGRATION MONITOR MANUALLY’. Choose the default copy method for running the heterogenous system copy. Next, enter the connection parameters to your SAP HANA database.
In the next screen, enter the path to the SAP HANA client and then specify the path to the export files.
You can keep the default settings in the other input screens.
